The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released the latest cultural tourism data for the Qingming Festival holiday on April 6 night. The telecommunication data showed that Hunan Province received over 19.84 million tourist trips during the holiday from April 4 to 6, a year-on-year increase of 33.09%. The total tourism expenditure amounted to over 12.6 billion CNY, an increase of 58.86% over last year. According to the China UnionPay data, the per capita spending of tourists reached 549.02 CNY, a 41.33% increase year on year.

Based on the data, the top five most-visited graded scenic spots in Hunan during the holiday were:Hengyang's Hengshan Mountain Tourist Area (178,200 visits);Zhangjiajie's Wulingyuan-Tianmen Mountain Tourist Area (156,100 visits);Changsha's Yuelu Mountain Tourist Area (151,800 visits);Xiangtan's Shaoshan Tourist Area (136,500 visits); and,Fenghuang Ancient Town Tourist Area in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture (110,500 visits).
